Programme Delivery Groups (PDGs)

PDGs provided the main focus for Partnership Board members to involve themselves in the project appraisal and monitoring processes. In some cases members of the Board delegated this role to another member of their organisation, or chose to rely on the summary information presented to the Board.

The PDGs also involved representatives of other agencies and of community groups not otherwise involved in the Partnership.

PDGs made recommendations on approval of projects under appraisal. In monitoring and reviewing the operation of projects they made recommendations direct to project managers and only referred the matter to the Board where there were serious concerns.
